Federico Di Gennaro

PhD Student at ETH Zurich

About me

I am PhD student at ETH Zürich, where I am advised by Prof. Fanny Yang. My broad research interests are Generative models, LLMs post-training, and Statistical Learning.

Before joining ETH Zürich, I was Visiting Student Researcher at UC Berkeley (spring semester 2025) hosted by Prof. Nikita Zhivotovskiy and at Università di Milano (fall semester 2024) hosted by Prof. Nicolò Cesa-Bianchi.

I hold a master's degree in Applied Mathematics from EPFL, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Engineer at Politecnico di Milano.

Outside my research activities, I enjoy endurance sports (🏃🏻,🚴🏻,🏊🏻,🏋🏻‍♀️), supporting my beloved football team FC Inter Milan ⚽️, and eating good food 🍕.
